Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

I cannot believe that it has been a month since I lost wrote a post. There has been so much going on and have not really had time to share. So, here is the latest on my adventure with God.

On Valentine's Day I received a wonderful valentine from God. My acceptance packet from the IMB arrived! I have officially been offered the position in Tokyo. I returned the necessary paperwork and am now waiting to hear back from them about my FPO (field personnel orientation) dates in Richmond. (I am still planning to attend in April)

God is at work with the sell of my house! I should be able to give more information by the end of this week. I can't wait to share with you how He has worked out this major detail in my journey! But He is still writing the story, so I don't know exactly how it is going to end yet. Please keep praying for His will and His timing!

I am in major purging and packing mode! I have taken so many bags to the dumpster and to charity that I have actually lost count. I now have a storage unit, so I can begin moving some of my stuff into that as I continue to purge and pack! I wonder if there is a cure for being a "pack-rat?"

God is still teaching me so many new things about Him. I am still learning to be a "branch," and now I am also trying to be a "sheep." He is good all the time, and learning to trust Him in all times is exciting and challenging. You have to know Him to be able to abide, trust, and rest in Him. Don't just know Him in your head. Learn of Him in your heart. Don't know how to do this? Ask Him to show/teach you. Be ready though. He will take you on a ride of a lifetime!!!

Just last week I realized that when God starts moving things happen VERY fast!! I feel like I am on a fast moving train with every thing zooming past me, and the emergency stop cord is hanging right by me. Part of me wants to pull the cord and stop the train from going any further because that part of me is scared!! BUT, the rest of me is saying, "What a ride!!!! Please don't ever let this stop!"

God wants you to experience His ride for you too. It will be a different train than the one I am on, but it will be just as exciting because it is reserved by Him JUST FOR YOU!!! Have the courage to step from the platform onto the train. You know the space between the platform and the train is called the "gap." So, "mind the gap," take the step of faith, and enjoy the ride!!!!

Sharon you are so right! I'm not sure if you've met Elbert yet but Elbert is always reminding us at FPO that we Christians tend to pray that we will be in the center of God's will, but lol that being in the center of God's will is not the safest place to be! Because that means we rely solely and entirely on Him, like being on that stormy ocean like Peter as he walked towards Jesus. Anyways I want to encourage you! I don't know what it's like to be in your shoes cuz I don't have a house or car to worry about, and i can just leave everything in my parent's place. But yes God can take care of all the details!
